WHAT WILL I STUDY IN Computer Science?

  • The 30-credit M.S. in Computer Science program puts students at the forefront of the rapidly growing information security, game development and software engineering fields.
  • Adelphi’s state-of-the-art Cybersecurity Lab allows students to enhance their research skills on information security and protecting data by using up-to-the-minute tools.
  • Software engineering students will be instructed in the research, design, development and testing of operating systems-level software.
  • Students concentrating in game development have access to innovative equipment—from high-end desktops to multiple virtual reality (VR) headsets such as Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard, HTC Vive and the newly released Microsoft HoloLens.

To be considered for admission, students are encouraged to submit the graduate application.

All students applying to this program must hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related and/or equivalent degree. In addition to a completed application for graduate admission and application fee, applicants must submit:

  • Official college transcripts
  • Final transcript stating Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related and/or equivalent degree
  • One letter of recommendation (academic or professional)
  • Resume or additional letter of recommendation (academic or professional)
  • A personal Essay
  • Submission of a strong portfolio of completed technical work (academic or professional) is highly recommended and will contribute favorably to an admissions decision
