Computer Science Minor

Take advantage of the flexibility of study computing with an eye on applying it to another field of interest. A computer science minor complements almost any academic area by adding IT competency to the knowledge base acquired in your major field of study.

Cybersecurity Minor

Explore how computer systems work, how information systems are designed, how organizations prepare for potential disruptions in service and how the law affects and influences cybersecurity.

Scientific Computing Minor

If you major in sciences such as biology, chemistry, physics and computer science, this minor will provide you with a solid background in computational techniques and data analysis skills to further prepare you to pursue an advanced degree in your major discipline.

Video Game Design Minor

Gain an interdisciplinary perspective and skill set focused on the creative elements of video game development. This minor is sponsored jointly with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, the Department of Art and Art History and the Department of Communications.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Undergraduate Education has awarded Adelphi University and Principal Investigator Andrea Ward, PhD, associate provost for research and special projects, a $2.49 million grant for the “Ensuring STEM Student Success Through an Integrative Support Program.”
